Barks by the Bay Best in Show award goes to this silly pup! 🏆 No, it's not a hat. It's one of my handmade fleece flyer ring toys.

Function meets fashion. The dog said the toy IS the outfit. Whatever makes you happy. 😂

I was so very happy to have a booth right next to our most favorite friends. I couldn't help myself, I needed pictures of the malamutes from @wamalrescue.

WAMAL has such a soft spot in my family's heart. They were Bear Bear's first foster family. My daughter also volunteers at Malley Valley in Puyallup when she isn't out on a sit as an in-home pet care provider.

I will always own a mal. They're powerhouses, they make amazing hiking buddies, and they provide endless entertainment with their "woos." Big, bold, and beautiful. A handful? At times. But I wouldn't trade my Bear Bear for the world.

So thank you for rescuing my boy, and for all you do for the snow dog community. ❤️

My silly little scrunchies are always such a big hit. It's just plain fun to Match your Mutt! I've got a few more ideas swirling around in my head for how to expand this line, I just need to carve out some time to sit down, play with applique, and sew.

Monday I had surgery. Tuesday I went home. Today?

Monday I had surgery. Tuesday I went home. Today? I'm genuinely so grateful I can move about! 🙌

Sure, I still have to be mindful of my body's limitations... I can't do all the things yet. I can walk downstairs to visit my garden and my craft room. That alone feels like a win.

Having my dogs by my side has honestly been one of the most healing parts of this journey. At first they were very weirded out by the cane and walker... but 1 day later? They've figured out it just means Mommy needs her space. 🐾❤️

Crafting will happen when the energy shows up. No pressure, no production mode. Today it's a bumblebee snuffle mat until I need my rest. 🐝

The shop will remain closed and the reopening has been extended to August 1st. Thank you all so much for your patience and support while I heal! 💛.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜'𝗺 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝘁𝘀:𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 🐾

Surgery prep looks a bit different in my house. One of my concerns is my garden. The other one... my dogs.
I have 3 days to get everything done before my hysterectomy. Then it's mandatory I rest and recover.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻?
My shop is closed June 1 to July 13. Last day of orders is this Saturday. Everything will be prepped and packaged for my family to drop off at the post office.

With Dog Dad, my human babies, and my amazing canine community, I know I'll be just fine. Koda and Bear Bear? Not so much. They'll have to sleep in the craft room for a while until Mommy recovers. 😢🐾

Thank you for all of your support over these next several weeks. I appreciate you more than you know. 🤍

🐾 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗼

🐾 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🐾

At a networking group for dog-inspired businesses, I met a girl after my own heart... a seamstress who loves pretty fabrics and has a passion for pups that might even rival mine. Oh, and she's a husky mom. So yeah, we instantly connected.

When she set up at the Puyallup Night Market, I had to show my support. I picked up these two ADORABLE patchwork scrunchie bandanas and got to meet her sweet pup Apollo.

Apollo is a bit... "broken." Calm. Well-mannered. Basically the complete opposite of my lunatics.

Meanwhile, I got barked at for not handing over the cheese fast enough. I had to corner Koda and Bear Bear just to get the bandanas on them. They were way more interested in playing bitey face and tearing around the yard than sitting pretty for pictures. Classic.

But here's the thing... crafting for canines isn't about doing all the things. She has her own style, just like I do. We're similar in so many ways but beautifully different in others. What matters most is that we're both out here doing the same thing: giving pup parents a little happiness by making their dogs look absolutely adorable.

I love her style, the quality of her work, and most importantly her heart. Thank you for supporting this mission of sharing the love of our pets through handmade canine gifts. 🐕 ♥️ 🐕 ♥️

Sometimes you just have to put the small business

Sometimes you just have to put the small business hat down. Close the laptop. Step away from it all and jjust be. Today I got to spend time with two women I absolutely adore.@taushablaksley and @doggy.paradise.tacoma

What started as a little retail therapy at a nursery turned into an evening supporting vendor friends at the Puyallup Night Market. Somewhere in between all of that we just talked. About life. Family. The frustrations that wear you down and the little joys that fill you back up.

No agenda. No strategy. Just real conversation with real people who get it. Girlfriends are hard to come by. Great girlfriends are priceless. 💛

Thank you both for always showing up — especially when I need it most. Days like today are exactly the kind of recharge that no productivity hack or planning session can replace.

Here's to the women who remind you that you're more than your hustle. 🥂

As the dog mom of a malamute who has absolutely no idea how big he is and a husky girl who pulls like she's training for the Iditarod... community events on my own are simply not in the cards for us. They have literally pulled me to the ground and felt zero remorse about it. 😂

So watching these best friend duos stroll through Petpalooza together like it was nothing? My heart grew three sizes. Goals? One hundred percent. Reality? We are very much still working on it. 🐾
